The study compared the effectiveness of multimodal interprofessional education with pure digital education in preparing nursing students in Saudi Arabia for Mpox, which has been declared a global health emergency. Students in the multimodal learning group, which combined digital modules with interactive workshops, showed significantly greater improvements in all measured areas compared to the digital-only group (p < 0.01). Effect sizes were interpreted as medium for knowledge (d = 0.62), large for confidence (d = 0.78), medium for attitudes (d = 0.58), and medium for clinical practices (d = 0.65). The increase in knowledge was maintained even at the 4-month follow-up. The educational intervention was theoretically based on the health confidence model and Kolb's theory of experiential learning, which led to confidence building and attitude modification. Research supports the integration of interdisciplinary experiential learning into nursing curricula to enhance preparedness for emerging infectious disease threats.
