Two types of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer had different effects on coronary atherosclerosis in men in a small randomized trial. Significantly greater progression of plaque in the coronary arteries occurred in men on one type of ADT compared to the other. The study focused on men with prostate cancer. The main finding is the differential effect of the two types of ADT on coronary artery plaque.
