The EAT–Lancet 2025 Commission by Johan Rockström and colleagues aims to promote healthy, sustainable and equitable food systems. They appreciate the effort for considering social justice and attention to biologically vulnerable life stages. This is a positive improvement over the previous release. However, methodological issues raised by the authors and others following the publication of the 2019 EAT–Lancet panel remain largely unresolved.
