Endohepatology integrates advanced endoscopy into hepatology and goes beyond standard diagnostics. Endoskopický ultrazvuk (EUS) sa používa na vaskulárne aplikácie v pečeni. EUS-PPG measures the portal pressure gradient and evaluates portal hypertension. Therapeutically, EUS enables embolization of coils and glue in gastric varices and spontaneous portosystemic shunts. These interventions are accurate and outperform blind techniques. EUS-IPS creates intrahepatic portosystemic shunts directly from the table to the bedside. Despite its technical complexity, EUS is a transformative platform in endohepatology. The article reviews these applications and predicts future techniques for the management of hepatobiliary and vascular diseases.
