Sudan's health and humanitarian crisis is worsening due to war and global neglect. According to the WHO, 33.7 million people will need humanitarian assistance in 2026, including 7.4 million displaced persons[5][6]. More than 37% of health facilities are not functioning, putting millions of people at risk without access to basic care[5][6]. As of April 2023, the WHO has verified 201 attacks on healthcare, which have caused 1858 deaths and 490 injuries[6]. The conflict caused epidemics of cholera, measles, malaria and dengue due to poor conditions and low vaccination rates[5][6]. More than 13.6 million people are displaced, the largest such crisis in the world[6][7]. More than 8.7 million people, almost a fifth of the population, suffer from malnutrition, with food prices rising by up to 430%[2]. WHO and partners have treated more than 3.3 million people and 112,400 children with severe malnutrition[6].
