The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria announced the final result of its eighth replenishment of $12.64 billion. The board of directors of the fund welcomed this result. The target set by the fund was US$18 billion and management considered it achievable. An investment case published in The Lancet by Tim Hallett and colleagues in July 2025 estimated that using this amount together with domestic funding and other donations could save 23 million lives between 2027 and 2029. It would also prevent 400 million cases and infections. Many supporters of the fund consider the amount raised a huge success.
