The Make Europe Healthy Again (MEHA) movement was launched in the European Parliament in Brussels to address the growing chronic disease crisis in Europe[1][2]. The initiative is inspired by the American movement "Make America Healthy Again" (MAHA), led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.[1]. The goal is to break cycles of chronic disease, promote vitality, and honor culture, sovereignty, peace, and human dignity through national sovereignty and individual autonomy[1]. The movement focuses on causes such as ultra-adapted foods, pesticides and environmental toxins, and advocates preventive strategies instead of reactive interventions[1]. MEHA has seven core principles, including self-determination, sovereignty, integrity of science, and understanding health as a natural state[1]. The founder and president is Dr. Maria Hubmer-Mogg[1][3]. It has support mainly from the European right, but it also appeals to the left and the center through topics such as environmental toxins and the protection of health workers[1]. The participants of the launch were doctors, researchers and politicians from several continents[2].
