The movement focuses on causes such as ultra-adapted foods, pesticides and environmental toxins, and advocates preventive strategies instead of reactive interventions[1]. MEHA has seven core principles, including self-determination, sovereignty, integrity of science, and understanding health as a natural state[1]. The founder and president is Dr. Maria Hubmer-Mogg[1][3]. It has support mainly from the European right, but it also appeals to the left and the center through topics such as environmental toxins and the protection of health workers[1].
