The Wellcome Collection is preparing The Coming of Age exhibition, which reflects on the perception of aging from adolescence to late age.[1][3] The exhibit features over 120 works by artists including Serena Korda, Paula Rego, John Coplans, Suzanne Lacy, and Anna Marie Maiolino, along with historical artifacts.[1][2][3] It combines insights from art, science, and popular culture and challenges assumptions about life stages.[1][3] It asks how societies can adapt for better aging for all people, including who can live longer and age well.[1][3] The exhibition explores how age and aging shape environment, culture and society.[3] It runs from 26 March to 29 November 2026 at the Wellcome Collection in London, with free entry.[1][3] One of the works is Por um Fio (By a Thread) by Anna Maria Maiolino.[1] The Connection and Care section includes Sharon Adokorach's work on care and identity.[1]
