Language and geographic bias limits global health research, as many studies miss the spotlight due to the language or journal of publication. This exclusion weakens evidence-based medicine and highlights the need for greater inclusiveness. For a global evidence base, it is necessary to expand the linguistic and geographical scope of research. The dominance of English leads to the fact that up to 98% of scientific outputs are published in this language. Language limitations affect the citation of studies, their inclusion in clinical guidelines, and the informing of global health policies, particularly in biomedical fields with regional differences in health systems or disease burden.
