The use of suspended lead suits during percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) significantly reduces radiation exposure to the head of echocardiographers compared with conventional lead aprons. The study focused on interventional cardiology procedures. Lead suits protect doctors from radiation. This protective element is effective in procedures such as LAAO. The results confirm the reduction of head exposure in echocardiographers. Conventional aprons provide less protection in this area. Suspended lead suits are suitable for interventional cardiology.
