Seemay Chou is a scientist, co-founder and CEO of Arcadia Science, chairperson of The Navigation Fund, PhD graduate in molecular cell biology from UC Berkeley, former Pew Scholar and assistant professor at UC San Francisco. Becky Pferdehirt is head of science at Foundation, where she draws on experience in academic research, industrial R&D and venture capital. Previously, she worked as an Investing Partner in the a16z Bio + Health team, where she built and financed biotech platforms. He holds a PhD from UC Berkeley and a B.S. from MIT, as well as experience from Amgen and Genentech in drug discovery and strategic development. The team also includes Dr. Dileep Georgea, AI, robotics and neuroscience entrepreneur, co-founder of Numenta and Vicarious. Doris Tsao is Chief Neuroscience Scientist, former UC Berkeley Professor and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, known for her work on face processing in primates.
