Medical device manufacturer Stryker discovered a cyber attack that disrupted its global computer networks.[1] The incident occurred between May 14 and June 10, 2024, when an unauthorized person gained access to the company's network.[1] Stryker immediately notified law enforcement, closed the incident, and engaged external cybersecurity experts.[1] During the investigation, the company discovered that sensitive data, including the names, health information, and dates of birth of some individuals, had been compromised.[1] The company has not identified any signs of ransomware or malware.[1] Stryker began sending notification letters to all affected individuals in December 2024 informing them of which of their data was compromised.[1]
