The study investigated the effectiveness of MiSight 1 Day contact lenses in Taiwanese children under real-world conditions. The research involved 368 children aged 6 to 18 from 23 clinics who wore these lenses for at least 12 months. Mean elongation of the ocular axis (AL) was 0.17 mm per year, representing a 27 percent reduction in growth compared to expected values in children without treatment. The average progression of myopia was -0.41 diopters per year. Visual performance was excellent - 98 percent of children achieved visual acuity of 20/25 or better. Results were similar regardless of whether the children had a history of atropine or orthokeratology. The study confirms that MiSight 1 Day provides meaningful control of myopia progression while maintaining good vision in practice.
