The statement of competing interests in the editorial "Talking trash" by Courtland K. Keteyian and colleagues (BMJ 2016;355:i5996; doi:10.1136/bmj.i5996) was incomplete.[1][8] The authors omitted the information that Marschall S. Runge was a board member of Eli Lilly.[1] The article was published on 17 November 2016 in the British Medical Journal.[2][8] The authors are Courtland K. Keteyian, medical director of Henry Ford Allegiance Health, Marschall S. Runge, vice president of medical affairs at the University of Michigan Health System, Sudhakar G. Reddy, coordinator of the University of Michigan's Office of Campus Sustainability, and Brahmajee K. Nallamothu of the University of Michigan's Center for Health Analytics and Medical Prediction.[6][7][8] It is an editorial in the field of natural resource protection and environmental health, related to methods of disposal of medical waste.[8] Abstract not available.[8]
