Judge deals a blow to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s vaccine reforms. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) meeting has been postponed. The committee voted 8 to 3 to end the recommendation to vaccinate all babies against hepatitis B immediately after birth. He recommends the vaccine only for children whose mothers have tested positive for hepatitis B or have not been tested. For other children, the parent should decide after consultation with the doctor, while the series of vaccinations should start at the age of two months. The states of California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii criticized the committee for a lack of credible evidence. The decision has yet to be confirmed by the CDC director.[1][2]
