US health officials say TrumpRx offers the lowest prescription drug prices in the world, but a new analysis debunks that claim. TrumpRx.gov is a new government platform that allows Americans to buy select expensive drugs directly from manufacturers at significantly lower prices based on lowest-price agreements in developed countries. The monthly price of Ozempic will drop from $1,028 to an average of $350, and Wego (injection) from $1,349 to at least $199 per dose. Wego's tablet will drop from $1,349 to at least $149, and Zepbound from $1,088 to an average of $346 or at least $299. Other drugs such as Cetrotide for fertility will drop from $316 to $22.50, Ovidrel from $251 to $84 and Bevespi Aerosphere for COPD from $458 to $51. The platform includes dozens of drugs from companies such as Pfizer and Novo Nordisk, including drugs for diabetes, obesity, asthma and dermatitis. The total price of prescription drugs in the US increased by 2% from December 2024 to December 2025.[1][2][3][4][6][7]
