The study investigated the effectiveness of a mobile health (mHealth) program to improve the care of patients after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. 248 patients were included in the research - 124 in the intervention group with the mHealth program and 124 in the control group with standard care. The mobile program included real-time health monitoring, automatic alerts, personalized education and online consultations with medical staff. After six months, the mHealth group showed significantly greater improvement in quality of life (by 10 points) and self-efficacy (by 2.01 points). In the intervention group, there were fewer cases of infection, cytomegalovirus reactivation, and emotional disorders. In allogeneic transplant patients, the program was associated with reduced graft-versus-host disease and viral reactivation. Patients in the mHealth group also had better symptom management, higher satisfaction, and lower hospital readmission rates. However, the authors note that low participation (14.5%) was more common among older and less educated patients.
