The convergence of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and artificial intelligence (AI) in cosmetic health offers the potential for preventive healthcare and personalized integration of beauty and health.[1] However, the implementation of these technologies is fragmented due to the mismatch between technical possibilities and social systems.[1] Sociotechnical systems analysis has revealed that devices prioritize technical accuracy over integration with user routines.[1] Apps have achieved consumer adoption, but create challenges in healthcare workflows, and algorithms show performance differences between populations.[1] Successful implementation requires joint optimization of technical infrastructure, social systems, organizational contexts and environmental factors.[1] The creation of socio-technical standards, verification of integration through examinations and alignment with health care are proposed.[1] Priority areas include UV monitoring, skin barrier assessment and AI-driven personalization.[1] Without coordinated measures for accuracy, workflow integration, and algorithmic fairness, existing disparities risk being reinforced.[1]
