This bibliometric analysis examines global trends in natural medicines for the treatment of pathological scars based on publications from 2008 to 2025 from the WOSCC and PubMed databases. A total of 234 papers from 1,395 authors from 396 institutions in 39 countries and regions were identified. China leads in the number of publications and four of the five most prolific authors are from China. Among the institutions, Shanghai Jiao Tong University dominates. Analyzes were performed with VOSviewer, CiteSpace, Scimago Graphica, Microsoft Office Excel and GraphPad Prism tools. Recent keywords include drug delivery, transdermal delivery, antioxidant, angiogenesis, and TGF-β/Smad. The research is in the development phase and this study is the first bibliometric analysis in this area.
