A 19-month-old girl was born with a tail-like appendage on her lower back. This appendage grew over time and made it difficult for the child to walk independently. Physical examination revealed another limb resembling a flexed thigh with partially developed parts. The limb had to be surgically removed. The case was published in MedPage Today.
