The study describes the implementation of the QSPSP program to improve stoma care for patients with colorectal cancer in a resource-limited setting using three cycles of PDSA in a tertiary medical center. The program included professional nursing leadership, standardized processes, practice-based learning activities, and interdisciplinary collaboration in routine procedures. The QSPSP was integrated into routine nursing practice and produced improvements in standardization of care, continuity of ostomy care, infection controls, and patient self-management education. Survey data from 27 patients showed descriptive improvements in emotional and role functioning after discharge, while gains in social functioning were limited. The evaluation was carried out by structured audits, observational records and the EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire. The findings highlight the feasibility of integrating CPD into routine practice, but a baseline comparison and independent measurement of learning is lacking. Further studies with a comparative design and longer follow-up are needed for a more reliable evaluation.
