The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) brings together European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA) countries to strengthen preparedness for public health emergencies. ECDC held a joint workshop bringing together members of the ECDC Management Board and the National Focal Points for Preparedness and Response. Participants reviewed progress on the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Assessment (PHEPA). This assessment is carried out by ECDC in EU/EEA countries. The workshop served to strengthen cooperation between countries. The goal is to improve overall preparedness for public health crises.
