The article describes a case of pneumonia caused by Chlamydia psittaci in a 34-year-old patient with fever and myalgia but no cough. The patient became infected after contact with poultry. Computed tomography revealed a lesion in the left lower lung, but sputum culture was negative. The original antibiotic treatment was not effective. The diagnosis of Chlamydia psittaci was confirmed by next-generation sequencing (NGS) from bronchoalveolar lavage. After a change in antibiotic treatment and the introduction of intensive pulmonary rehabilitation, the patient recovered completely. The article emphasizes the importance of determining the etiological factors and location of the lesion in the diagnosis of pneumonia. Active pulmonary rehabilitation can speed up the patient's recovery.
