Decades after the Vietnam War, a new study links exposure to the herbicide Agent Orange to the blood cancer myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Agent Orange was used extensively during the Vietnam War. Previous research has not shown this connection. This new finding could have significant implications for Vietnam veterans. It will potentially enable them to qualify for health care and compensation related to MDS. Study provides new evidence on long-term health consequences of exposure to Agent Orange.
