[Articles] Efficacy and safety of a 4-month quabodepistat, delamanid, and bedaquiline regimen for drug-susceptible pulmonary tuberculosis: a multicentre, open-label, randomised, proof-of-concept, non-inferiority, phase 2b/c trial

The study investigated a 4-month treatment regimen consisting of quabodepistat, delamanid, and bedaquiline (DBQ) in patients with drug-susceptible pulmonary tuberculosis. Results showed a promising non-inferiority signal of this regimen compared to the standard 6-month RHEZ regimen at the end of treatment. The DBQ regimen was generally well tolerated with an acceptable safety profile. The results support further clinical studies aimed at shortening tuberculosis treatment duration using quabodepistat as a potential component of new treatment regimens. This was a multicentre, randomised, open-label phase 2b/c proof-of-concept trial.
