[Articles] Use of tocilizumab for severe hantavirus pulmonary syndrome: a MEURI case series with contextual comparisons

The article addresses the use of tocilizumab, a drug that inhibits IL-6, in treating severe hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. This is a case series studied within the MEURI framework (Mechanism for Exceptions to Use of Unregistered Medicines). The observed patients were treated with tocilizumab as experimental therapy. The results suggest that IL-6 inhibition could be a promising approach for this severe infectious disease.
