The study examines treatment adherence among patients with inflammatory bowel disease, specifically those receiving anti-TNF therapy. Inflammatory bowel disease includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The research was conducted at Izmir Katip Celebi University and has been completed. The study compared two behavioral interventions aimed at improving treatment adherence: structured patient education based on the Health Belief Model and standard patient education. Both interventions were behavioral in nature, focusing on changing patient behavior. The goal was to determine how patient education can contribute to better adherence to prescribed anti-TNF therapy.
