This scientific study investigated the electromyographic response to blood flow restriction exercise in healthy adults. The research was conducted and sponsored by the Spanish university, Universidad de Extremadura. The main objective was to monitor muscle activity during specific lower limb training. The interventions compared low-load knee extension exercise with blood flow restriction. The second comparison group performed the same low-load exercise but without blood flow restriction. This scientific project has been successfully completed and provides important data on muscle activation. The results may help optimize rehabilitation and training programs for adults.
