THE EFFECT OF EDUCATION PROVIDED TO ADOLESCENTS LIVING IN A CONTAINER SETTLEMENT ON THEIR GENITAL HYGIENE BEHAVIOURS AND MENSTRUAL EXPERIENCES

The study examined the effects of an educational program focused on genital and menstrual hygiene in adolescents living in a container settlement. The research was conducted at Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University and targeted adolescents affected by an earthquake. The program represented a nursing intervention in the field of health education. The study monitored changes in adolescents' hygiene behaviors and their menstrual experiences. Education was provided as part of healthcare in emergency conditions. The research was completed and its findings contribute to understanding the impact of health education on hygiene in adolescents living in difficult circumstances.
