This article discusses the mid-term review and update of the Stroke Action Plan for Europe (SAP-E). The SAP-E plan is monitored using the stroke service tracker instrument. Data from 2022 had already been quoted in an Editorial, describing the progress. The latest data from 2023 indicate further improvements in stroke care across Europe. In 2023, a total of 20 countries had implemented a national stroke plan. This represents an increase from 17 countries that had such a plan in 2022. Furthermore, ongoing work on the implementation or development of these plans is reported in 19 countries. These statistics confirm the continued progress in European stroke patient care.
