[Correspondence] The epidemiology of unruptured intracranial aneurysm in Finland – Authors’ reply

In this response, the authors address the feedback and concerns raised by Aleksanteri Asikainen and his colleagues. These concerns regarded the interpretation of epidemiological evidence on unruptured intracranial aneurysms and aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage in Finland. The authors expressed gratitude for the interest shown in their published Series. They also clarified that the critics' concerns mostly regarded the incidence of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. However, this issue was not the primary focus of their original article. The original article focused primarily on the epidemiology and pathogenesis of unruptured aneurysms. The authors mentioned the findings on the incidence of subarachnoid hemorrhage only to put the risk of rupture of unruptured intracranial aneurysms in Finland into context.
