María Carmona-Iragui is a neurologist working at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain. She completed her neurological training at Clínica Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona and earned her PhD at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her research focuses on Alzheimer's disease and aging. She investigates these topics in the general population as well as in people with Down syndrome. Specifically, her work addresses biomarkers, epilepsy, and cerebral amyloid angiopathy. The aim of her research is to translate scientific advances into better care for patients and their families.
