The study examined the relationship between lung function and physical function in 46 stroke survivors. Researchers measured various pulmonary function parameters including vital capacity and peak expiratory flow. They found positive correlations between lung function and balance, as well as lower limb motor function. Trunk stability showed positive associations with most pulmonary parameters, with the strongest correlation observed with peak expiratory flow. The results suggest that simple and low-cost pulmonary function testing should be integrated into stroke rehabilitation programs. Such integration could improve long-term functional outcomes in patients and support better collaboration among healthcare professionals.
