The automaker achieves above-standard vaccination rates of 12.5 percent in its productive population with an average age of 41 years through its own healthcare facility and motivational benefits system. Vaccinated employees are significantly less sick than unvaccinated ones, in some months by hundreds of percent. The company offers free vaccines against influenza and COVID-19, as well as vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis and travel medicine. The costs of vaccines and bonuses are offset by increased employee presence at the workplace, bringing the automaker quarterly savings in tens of millions of crowns. Škoda Auto recommended expanding the competencies of healthcare personnel and introducing preventive programs by health insurance companies tailored to businesses.
