The European Journal of Anaesthesiology (EJA) achieved an Impact Factor of 7.8 in 2025, representing another significant milestone in its development. This figure is higher than the 2024 Impact Factor of 6.8 and continues a strong upward trend. Compared to 2023, when the Impact Factor was 4.2, the journal's score has nearly doubled in two years. The growth reflects increased visibility, scientific quality, and relevance of the journal within the global anaesthesiology and intensive care community. Among the most cited articles are updates of clinical guidelines from the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine covering postoperative delirium, management of perioperative bleeding, and airway management in neonates and infants. EJA serves as the official journal of ESAIC and plays a key role in disseminating scientific knowledge from Europe and beyond.
