KRNAP má nového ředitele. Stal se jím kritizovaný Moravec

Minister of Environment Igor Červený appointed Petr Moravec as the new director of the Krkonoše National Park (KRNAP) Administration. The 59-year-old forest engineer and lecturer at the Czech Forest Academy Trutnov previously served as head of the office for the former director Robin Böhnisch. Böhnisch was dismissed from his position by the minister in March 2026, after which the park was temporarily led by Michal Servus. A total of 14 candidates applied for the selection procedure, with Moravec being one of the three finalists. His appointment drew criticism from the Association of Municipalities of Eastern Krkonoše, which questioned the suitability of his professional profile. KRNAP, established in 1963, is the oldest national park in the Czech Republic and covers an area of 55,000 hectares.
