On the night of Thursday, rescue workers transported nine children with digestive problems from a school event near Predná Výtoň in the Český Krumlov region to hospitals in South Bohemia. The children had diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Rescue workers provided intravenous access, administered infusion therapy, and gave strong anti-nausea medication. All patients remained conscious during transport. The spokesperson for the South Bohemian rescue service emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene standards at summer camps, particularly proper food storage, adequate hydration, and personal hygiene. He stressed regular handwashing with soap and running water, especially after using the toilet, before eating, and when handling food. Last year, more than 37,000 children participated in summer camps in South Bohemia during the holidays.
