Cenu J. E. Purkyně 2026 získal psychiatr a sexuolog Jiří Raboch

The Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyně awarded its highest and most prestigious award for 2026 to psychiatrist and sexologist Professor Jiří Raboch. The ceremonial presentation of the award took place on June 17, 2026 at Kaiserstein Palace in Prague. The award was given for his lifelong contribution to medicine, exceptional merits in the development of therapeutic, scientific and educational activities, and his moral qualities. Professor Raboch is only the second psychiatrist to receive this recognition. He is the author of important textbooks covering pharmacotherapy, biological psychiatry, depression treatment and sexology. In 2012, he received a medal for his merits to the state in the field of science, education and schooling. Despite his honors, he remains an active physician and educator at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University.
