Ad Hoc Stakeholder Meeting on consumer safety of feed additives containing iodine

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) held an online ad-hoc meeting on June 10, 2026, focusing on the consumer safety of feed additives containing iodine. The meeting took place from 09:00 to 11:00 (CEST) and was attended by representatives from feed businesses, the European Commission, and EFSA experts. The main discussion centered on limitations identified by the FEEDAP Panel regarding deposition data and data requirements for ensuring consumer safety of iodine. This meeting was organized in line with EFSA’s catalogue on initiatives for regulated products. The objective was to improve understanding of EFSA's work and strengthen engagement with stakeholders. Participating organizations included Ajay Europe, SQM, Doxal Retorte, EF Nutrition, and Golden Highway.
