The State Health Institute in Prague is seeking a health laboratory technician for the department of staphylococcal and bacterial foodborne infections. The position involves laboratory diagnostics of bacterial foodborne infections with a focus on identifying virulence factors. The candidate will analyze bacterial strains such as E. coli, Shigella, Yersinia, and Vibrio using phenotypic methods (serotyping, biochemical tests), molecular biological methods (PCR), and MALDI-TOF MS. Required qualification is professional competence as a health laboratory technician or a bachelor's degree in natural sciences. Certification and experience in the field are advantageous. Employment should begin in July 2026 or by agreement.
