The study examined nutritional awareness, knowledge, and actual dietary practices among 200 pregnant women in Sanaa, Yemen during December 2025. Results showed high levels of nutritional awareness (87%) and healthy dietary practices (80%) among participants. Statistical analysis using SPSS software demonstrated that awareness and practices explained 20.2% of variance in maternal and fetal health status (p < 0.001). Actual dietary practices had greater predictive power (β=0.316) than theoretical knowledge (β=0.232) in determining clinical outcomes. The greatest barriers were morning sickness (80%) and deterioration of family economic status (71%). The study found significant differences favoring more educated women with higher incomes, while no differences were recorded based on pregnancy order. The research proposed an integrated model showing that the fetus acts as a biological drain on the mother's cellular and mineral reserves in wartime conditions.
