Chtěli jen saunu u Brna, teď mají kolos připomínající projekt NASA

Two architects Bořivoj Čapák and Michal Palaščák from the office Pouze slušné návrhy wanted to build a floating sauna on the Svratka River near Brno. When the state company Povodí Moravy rejected their original plan, they decided to renovate an old caravan. The project had to go through a complete building permit process, and structural engineer Petr Frantík discovered that the original vehicle could not be moved. He designed a new load-bearing structure that used only the original axles and shafts. Expert Robert Novozámský solved technical challenges with retractable stairs and operable windows. The resulting structure weighed almost ten tons and resembled a space vehicle. The caravan serves as a sauna from November to March, and from April to autumn it transforms into a cultural space with a café and gallery.
