Building accessible resources to empower communities: the case of the Lupus Mexican Registry

Despite increasing data on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) in Latin America, clinical datasets often remain difficult to access and interpret. This highlights the need for accessible tools to support data-driven precision medicine, citizen science, and public health initiatives. In response to this need, a user-friendly platform has been developed. This platform allows exploration of data from the Lupus Mexican Registry (LupusRGMX) through interactive queries, report generation, and statistical modeling. Its aim is to provide comprehensive insights and improve the visibility of underrepresented populations in lupus research. The platform also supports community-oriented research and generally enhances data accessibility. It was developed in R using Shiny and bslib and is publicly available online.
