A fifteenth emergency medical service base will be established in Nový Bor in the Českolipska region within two years. This new base will reduce response times to villages around Kamenický Šenov, Kromachy, Sloup in Bohemia, and Prysk from the current 14 to 15 minutes to seven to eight minutes. The Liberec Region Emergency Medical Service currently operates 14 dispatch bases in 13 cities. The number of emergency service callouts increases annually, which led to the need for an additional base. The city of Nový Bor offered premises in the municipal fire station area and is prepared to invest up to ten million crowns for renovations. Work is expected to begin next year and be completed within one year.
