Evropská evaluace přinesla pozitivní hodnocení systému ochrany zdraví při práci v České republice

The Ministry of Health has published the results of an international evaluation of the occupational safety and health (OSH) system in the Czech Republic. This evaluation was conducted by the Committee of Senior Labour Inspectors of the European Union (SLIC) in April 2026, with the participation of experts from seven EU member states. The evaluation team described the Czech OSH system as coherent and progressive, with an emphasis on prevention. Particularly positive aspects noted were the systematic approach to preventing health risks, the use of digital tools, and the professional level of public health protection authorities. They also praised the work categorization system, which is a fundamental tool for protecting employee health. The final report confirms the importance of cooperation between public health authorities and other institutions. Recommendations include focusing on new challenges such as psychosocial risks, work stress, and workplace violence. The Ministry of Health has been addressing these topics long-term and is preparing further steps.
