Controlled Hypotension and Renal Injury During Septoplasty

This study investigated the relationship between controlled hypotension and renal injury. The research focused on patients undergoing septoplasty. The main conditions monitored were hypotension during surgery and kidney injury. NGAL (Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin) was used as a biomarker for kidney injury. The study compared two groups of patients with controlled hypotension. One group maintained a mean arterial pressure (MAP) in the range of 50-57 mmHg. The second group had a MAP in the range of 58-65 mmHg. The study was sponsored by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital and has been completed.
