Is it time for a universal videolaryngoscopy reporting framework?

Videolaryngoscopy is currently becoming a routine medical practice. With its growing use, there is an increasing need for a shared and structured language to describe this procedure. This common language should specifically serve to describe videolaryngoscopy-assisted tracheal intubation. Significant progress has been made so far in improving the success and safety of intubations. However, the standardization of documentation for these procedures has not kept pace with this progress. The article therefore highlights the need to establish a universal framework for reporting and documenting these medical procedures.
