Experimental Study and Training for Tanzanian Students and Health Professionals With a New Simulator for Manual Neonatal Ventilation

This experimental study and training focused on Tanzanian students and health professionals. The main goal was to improve their skills in manual neonatal ventilation. For this purpose, a new simulator was used, enabling practical training. The training was designed as an intervention to teach manual neonatal ventilation techniques. The project was sponsored by several organizations. Among the sponsors were Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento Sant'Anna and Doctors with Africa - CUAMM. Further supporters included Tosamaganga Regional Referral Hospital and the National Institute for Medical Research in Tanzania. The study and training have been successfully completed.
