A disinformation article from CZ24News claimed that a large-scale Japanese study of 20 million people proved that excess mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic occurred almost exclusively among vaccinated individuals. According to fact-checking, however, no peer-reviewed and published study with such findings exists. Professor Robert Clancy likely referred to a live broadcast by Japanese parliamentarians and a doctor who presented an unofficial database allegedly containing 21 million vaccinated people. This database has serious limitations: it covers only about five percent of vaccinations in Japan and only 40 of 3,299 municipalities, does not show causes of death, and contains no data on unvaccinated individuals. The database never underwent peer review and was not published in a reputable scientific journal. Without adequate investigation, the data cannot prove a causal relationship between vaccination and deaths.
