Pražští celníci odhalili ve spolupráci se SÚKL distribuční sklad s nelegálním léčivem

Prague customs officers discovered a distribution warehouse with tens of thousands of packages of illegal medicines on June 11 in cooperation with SÚKL. The facility contained 45,547 packages of medicines that are not registered in the Czech Republic and their distribution is prohibited. The medicines were stored in 471 boxes and crates containing 39 different preparations, mostly for erectile support. All seized medicines will be destroyed as they were outside the legal distribution chain. Customs officers also seized 212 pieces of suspicious goods including headphones and smartwatches worth more than 1 million crowns. Illegal medicine distribution poses a serious public health risk as consumers have no certainty about the origin, quality, and safety of these preparations. Since the beginning of 2026, customs authorities have recorded 39 inspections revealing violations of medicine handling regulations.
